We are continuing to thrive in the roastery with very exciting projects coming up ahead. Our direct trade commitments are growing and so is our aspirations.
The Direct Trade story is now ready to be told and we have written a comprehensive story on this in Danish, that is due for translation.
It’s really compelling and should give all our avid sales people a great story to tell. More on that in a separate post.
The relationships basically means we are driving money into the right pockets; we are paying a premium on the premium as you can also put it.
Coffee is traded on markets prices + a premium for the quality. And then we add a direct trade premium to make earmarked projects.
We try and get the best deals, while obtaining the quality we seek. Quality is important, as well as consistency. We get first pick in most farms we work with, we get the best lots.
Also we obtain farm information, images, stories etc.
The increase is due to be in the amount of 2-4% and is due to the nature of above + increasing coffee prices on the MAT-index. The USD is still strong as well.
We will release these prices on the 1st of August. Also out are new priceless in general, some new products on the way (new 8oz and 12oz TopBrewer Cups, single wall), new sugar designs, cleaning tablets and more….
Most excitingly we are revamping the design completely on both Amokka and TopBrewer Coffee’s. The Amokka is already shipping now (more in separate post) and TopBrewer is due to ship mid August.
