If you have ever had the issue, that the brightness control on iPads running iOS 11 would automatically be reduced way to much for the user to see the cup icons in the TopBrewer, there is way to fix this and not let the iPad auto adjust the background lightning of the display
In iOS 10 and previous you could disable the Auto-Brightness feature in Settings > Display and Brightness > Auto Brightness
In iOS 11 this feature has moved to a new rather odd location at: Settings > General > Accessibility > Display Accommodation > Auto Brightness
I would recommend you turning this feature OFF, and then turn up the Brightness as much as you can. Adjust the light is still at Settings > Display and Brightness.
